Why hand tied extensions?

Hand Tied Extensions are made by hand which causes them to be much thinner and lay more  flat against the scalp than normal machine tied Wefts. During the installation, the hand-tied wefts are sewn to a row of silicone beads that are placed on the natural hair! This method uses absolutely no heat, tape, or glue.

With using hand-tied hair it gives flexibility and comfort on the scalp for everyday wear. These extensions can add length, fullness or color to your everyday look that is less invasive and long lasting. Your extensions will be custom colored, cut, styled keeping your look seamless, and the wefts are virtually undetectable!

How do I know how many rows my hair needs?

For added volume, to hold your style and a little added length ( Typically One Full row or One Full Row & a mini row) 2-2.5 packs packs of hair

For additional added length, volume, and added hold to your style (Typically Two Full rows) 3-3.5 packs of hair

How often is maintenance?

Move-ups are required every 6-8 weeks depending on your hair texture, lifestyle, and home care. With proper care to extensions your new hair can be expected to last about 6-9 months. You can always replace wefts at move ups for an additional cost!

What is at home maintenance look like?

• Only use professional products on your hair
• Only wash hair 1-2x a week
• Section your hair when washing and brushing hair
• Leave your conditioner on the extensions for at least 2-3 minutes
• Towel dry hair with a microfiber towel or a t-shirt to prevent friction and frizzing caused by regular towels.
• Use Pureology’s 21 benefits or Unites 7 seconds leave in after you wash then brush through with a wet brush or paddle brush
• Air dry at least 80%-90% if possible, and make sure to dry root area, drying towards the face. DO NOT wash or blow dry your hair upside down as this may cause matting/ tangling.
• Oil your extension hair and natural ends morning and evening. I recommend United argon oil or redkens all soft oil
• Brush hair multiple times throughout the day to prevent tangling. Holding the row, brush from the ends work your way up the hair shaft.
• Avoid hair spray, and any other styling products with high alcohol content, it can cause the hair to dry out fast
• Put hair in a low, loose braid or a low pony and secure with a scrunchie to prevent tangling
• Do not go to bed with wet hair, this will cause excessive matting and slippage of the beads
• It is best to avoid swimming when you have hair extensions. If you choose to swim, you will want to take a few precautions like -- Before getting in the pool or ocean, rinse your hair in fresh water, spray in leave in conditioner, then braid the hair and secure to prevent tangling.
• Shampoo + condition your hair as soon as possible after getting out of the water.
  Sunscreen is very likely to have a chemical reaction with extension hair, which results in a strong orange/peach tone in the hair. (There’s one sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t do this: bare republic)
• Do not use spray sunscreen near your extension hair, and be sure to wear your hair up off of your shoulders in loose bun to prevent sunscreen from coming in contact with the extension hair.
